The story
From Maragogipe to the world
Don Emmanuel's story begins in Maragogipe, in the Recôncavo of Bahia, one of Brazil's historic tobacco regions, where his grandmother rolled cigars at Suerdieck. Tobacco was part of the family long before it became his profession.
Over twenty-two years he went from enthusiast to one of the most respected Master Cigar Sommeliers in the world, achieving the highest score ever awarded by the International Association of Cigar Sommeliers. As an IACS instructor and ambassador in Brazil, he has trained more than 500 students.
He shares that knowledge through master classes around the world: at InterTabac in Dortmund, in Doha, in Panama, in the United States and in the Dominican Republic. Years of study, factory visits and industry experience led him to fulfill a lifelong dream: a cigar brand of his own.
Don Emmanuel Cigars was launched to the world in December 2023, debuted at the PCA trade show in 2025 and today is present in twelve countries.
Cigars are born of the elements: earth, air, fire and water. Each one carries history, emotion and connection.

A cigar absorbs everything around it. Even us.
Tobacco is hygroscopic: it absorbs the moisture, the aromas and the energy of everything around it. From the field to the curing barn, from the factory to the humidor, the leaf keeps every place it has been. And when it reaches our hands, it absorbs us too.
That is why every Don Emmanuel cigar is created with intention. Seven is the number of the house: seven tobaccos in Anunnaki, seven Sun and seven Moon in every box, 777 numbered boxes.

Every Don Emmanuel blend is co-created by Don Emmanuel in partnership with Master Blender Eladio Díaz, one of the most respected names in the industry, with more than sixty years in tobacco, forty of them at Davidoff. The cigars are handmade at his factory, Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera, in the Dominican Republic.
